Customize Google:
[CustomizeGoogle is a Firefox extension that enhance Google search results by adding extra information and removing unwanted information (like ads and spam).]
– I love this addon because it allows be to customize my Google application experience. It allows me to force the use of https on Gmail, Calendar, Docs & Spreadsheets, etc. It provides a privacy filter to avoid Google cookies and tracking, and it allows me to remove ads from Gmail and other Google pages. It is a must addon for any of my Firefox installations.
Google Toolbar for Firefox:
– I really like the Google toolbar. I am not sure why but the placement of the search bar works better for me on the lefthand side, than in the upper righthand side. Call me crazy…but UI functionality is all about what makes you more productive and intuitive. I get buttons for all my Google apps, News, GMail, etc. Something I just discovered is the Bookmarks. There does not seem to be another means of accessing them but through the Google toolbar. Basically it stores your bookmarks online and you access them through any google toolbar with Google Account authentication. Nice!
Email This!:
[Email This! (formerly known as GMail This!) will send your recipient the link, title, & highlighted text of the page you are viewing using GMail, Yahoo, and Stand-Alone Mail Clients like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, & More!]
– Ever find something on the web, and say to yourself, ‘I have to send this to xxx’ - well in one click you can.
Adblock Plus:
[Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them. Right-click on a banner and choose "Adblock" from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Or click Adblock Plus icon in the toolbar to see all elements of the page and block the banners. You can use filters with wildcards or even regular expressions to block complete banner factories.]
– Annoying ads - right click and block them. Nuff said.
Tab Effect:
Adds a cool effect to changing tabs.
del.icio.us:
— If you use Firefox, use del.icio.us, it is a must in my humble opinion. Gives me quick and easy buttons for My del.icio.us and Tag This button.
