University of Maine refuses to hand student info to RIAA

I applaud the University of Maine for taking a principled stand. You would think as institutions of principles and education, more universities and colleges would take the same stand.

Microsoft dropping DRM from Zune Music Store

Soo, DRM was necessary to any business model Microsoft said. Just cut the innovation crap, and admit to great success at copying other successful products and business models. Just like Dell does in the server hardware industry. HP and IBM invent, Dell waits to see what is successful and copies it. Microsoft does the same. Netscape has a nice browser lets copy it. VMware has virtualization, lets copy it. Sony has a gaming console, lets copy it. Apple has…..well alot of creativity and innovation, so lets dedicate entire departments to copying them.
